In a highly anticipated semifinal matchup of the North Central League, #4 LW faced off against the #2 BGHW Stampede, but ultimately fell short with a final score of 4-2.
Ben Cygan wasted no time putting LW on the board first, scoring a power-play goal at 7:49 in the first period, with an assist from Brandon Plahm. However, momentum shifted as the Stampeded responded with three unanswered goals, leaving LW trailing 3-1 as they entered the third period.
Cygan showcased his skills once again, netting a second power-play goal at 12:08 into the third period, thanks to assists from Gavin D’Asto and Plahm. Despite this effort to close the gap, BGHW sealed their victory with an additional goal, ending the contest at 4-2 and advancing to the championship game.
