LW JV1 Dominates Lyons Township with a 7-1 Victory

In an impressive display of teamwork and skill, the LW JV1 hockey team defeated Lyons Township with a lopsided score of 7-1 in today’s game. The game kicked off with a scoreless first period, leaving fans anxiously awaiting the opening score.

The action picked up quickly in the second period, with Grant Briscoe lighting the lamp just 13 seconds in, assisted by Jason Sciacca. This goal sparked a flurry of scoring for LW JV1 as Jason Sciacca soon followed up with one of his own, courtesy of a setup from Gavin Vasquez.

As the period progressed, Briscoe continued to shine, netting his second goal of the game with another assist from Sciacca. Dillon Stewart joined the scoring frenzy, finding the back of the net with help from both Sciacca and Danny Peterson. Briscoe completed his hat trick with an unassisted goal, further solidifying LW’s lead.

Not to be outdone, Stewart scored his second of the day, again assisted by the ever-influential Sciacca, who by this point had tallied an extraordinary four assists.

Lyons Township managed to break the silence in the 3rd period, scoring at the 4:20 mark. However, their hopes were quickly dashed as Jason Sciacca responded just a minute later with his second goal of the day, assisted by Dillon Stewart and Gavin Vasquez.

LW JV1’s goaltender, Jacob Bandzi, showcased his skills between the pipes, stopping 20 of the 21 shots he faced, ensuring a comfortable victory for his team.
